The quaint Illinois City of Peoria is home to the impressive Dozer Park and with the summer here, there are a multitude of options for baseball fans and anyone who wants to spend some quality time outdoors. Did you know that the Park has 8″ sod mixture, 90% of which is sand? Underneath that “well played” idea is 6′ of gravel with drainage tiles that run from home plate to center field. It’s interesting to know, as well, that the field contains a large capacity sump pump that drains into the City’s sewer system. This field is ready for anything that comes its way and the next fun event will be held on August 6th. The Business Leaders are hosting a networking event called ‘ Forty Leaders under 40’.
